about

Michał Trela - drums, percussion
Ove Volquartz - contrabass clarinet, soprano sax
Piotr Zabrodzki - bassguitar, synthesizer, piano
Piotr Łyszkiewicz - tenor & soprano saxophones, percussion

The album is extraordinary. The music is hard to define, probably only few of us have had an opportunity to encounter a similar phenomenon. When deciding to listen to this record, we must be aware we are going to be affected by an unusual, elusive force, able to break through the gate behind which we hide our subconscious away from ourselves. The question is, are we ready to make such a journey into our own SELF? The feelings we experience while listening to “Spoon” can become a drug for the soul, with all the implications of this fact. The listener willingly gives in to organic emotions which, in pure form, are experienced Only by extreme religious fundamentalists and football fans. Not only did the artists document their technical perfection, musical experience and imagination, but they also gave us access to the dark recesses of the soul, letting us look in places not everyone dares to visit. A taboo has been broken.
(Dr Anatol S. Nowak)
