about

Marco Eneidi – alto saxophone
Marek Pospieszalski – tenor saxophone
Ksawery Wójciński – double bass
Michał Trela – drums

The year of release of the Panta Rei album marks the tenth anniversary of Marco Eneidi’s moving to Europe. Many artists were eager to perform opposite a person who’s musical résumé included projects with Bill Dixon or Cecil Taylor. In point-blank terms, Marco Eneidi got his “licence to kill” in free jazz category quite a while ago! The disc you are holding in your hands is a registered collaboration of the above mentioned saxophonist with three exceptional musicians from Poland. Marek Pospieszalski, Ksawery Wójciński and Michał Trela are among the leading improvisers in this part of Europe. The quartet functions like a well-oiled machine, leaving no room for hesitation or doubt. What characterizes this project most is the confidence exuded by each musician, which translates into the band’s powerful impact. We can hear it in each successive phrase and stroke, in the control the musicians have over the form. Marco Eneidi Streamin’ 4 is a zestful band unafraid of making sonoric leaps or aggressive excursions by brass instruments, which add colour to the whole experience.
(Roch Siciński)
